God Bless Addie Beth! Dr. John Kay presided over the Baptism ceremony of our baby girl. She wore the family gown handmade by Great Aunt Nancy Schulten Huston. Addie Beth was the 7th baby in the family to wear the gown. So beautiful.
Happy Parents, Happy Day
The Jones Family with Dr. Kay
Addie Beth with her Godparents--Uncle Mike and Aunt CocoOn Sunday, August 2nd, or Addie Beth was baptized at our church in Jacksonville. We were so happy that ALL our family could be there with us--we had 6 children 5 and under at our house. It was two days of fun and playtime outside with the kiddos. The Baptismal ceremony was so very special--it took place during the Time with Children moment. Our wonderful minister, Dr. Kay, asked the children 3 questions: "Will you be a friend to Addie Beth?", "Will you pick her up if she falls down?" "Will you tell her the stories of Jesus?" It was so precious. And then, cousin Henry Doyle piped up, "Addie Beth is MY COUSIN!" :) SO SWEET! As if I wasn't already one teary Mama, at the end of the ceremony, Andrew and I read a prayer over Addie Beth. It was one special day for all of us.
